Men Who Dared...Our Lasting Inspiration

Since its activation on November 7, 1950, the Philippine Marine Corps charted its own course fighting the insurgents and assaulting bloody beaches against the secessionists in the southern Philippines, rising into prominence in the eyes of the Filipino people. The very colorful fifty-one years of noble service to the Filipino people was made possible through so much hard work and sacrifices of the rank and file in the frontline. Our gallant men who fought side by side against the enemies wherein not so few offered the supreme sacrifice of their lives. On top of these heroes are the Medal for Valor awardees. It is only fitting that we pay tribute to them for in fact they are the ones that give lasting inspiration to the officers and men of the entire Philippine Marine Corps.
